Carpet Cleaning Service
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONSWhat type of service do you offer? We offer a weekly service to do your weekly household chores. Can I have a cleaner once a fortnight?Generally speaking we do not offer a fortnightly service. This arrangement causes a number of problems ? cleaners are looking for a regular income each week, and as good cleaners are in high demand they prefer to work for clients on a weekly basis. Please speak to us though if you do need cleaning fortnightly. How soon can a cleaner start?Normally within a week depending on your requirements and which day of the week you need the cleaner to come.Does the same cleaner come every week?As long as you are happy with the cleaner we send you they will be with you every week. A replacement cleaner is only used if your regular cleaner is sick, leaves the agency, goes on holiday or if you become dissatisfied with them. Will the cleaner come on the same day each week?Yes they will, but if you need to change your regular day you should speak to your cleaner to make sure they are available on that day. Friday is a particularly busy day so try to avoid a change to a Friday if possible. Are the cleaners insured?Part of our requirement as an Agency is to provide Public Liability Insurance cover for the cleaners that are sent to you. This provides cover for accidental damage to your property or injury to the cleaner when working in your home. The level of cover is £2,000,000 and we carry an excess of £100 so any small breakages are not covered. What should I do if the cleaner fails to turn up?Whilst every effort is made checking cleaners references for reliability to ensure you get a cleaner that won?t let you down, there is always the possibility that this may happen. Cleaners get sick like everyone else or their children become sick and they have to take them to the Doctors. However, whatever their problem they are obliged to let you and the agency know as soon as possible. Unfortunately sometimes they do not. If this should happen please phone the agency straightaway and we will try to make alternative arrangements for you.How is the cleaner paid? You, the client, are asked to pay the cleaner the applicable rate, in cash, on the day they clean for you. A receipt will be left if required. Can I pay my cleaner by cheque?Sorry, no. all of our cleaners rely on being paid cash on the day they clean for you.How do I pay your Agency Fees?As soon as a cleaner is appointed to you we will send you a Standing Order form which we ask you to return so that we may get payment, in arrears, via your Bank. This is the only method of payment that we accept. All our clients pay by Standing Order and to make exceptions would create administrative problems. What happens about your Agency fees if a clean is missed for any reason? If this should happen, and we have been advised, we will refund the appropriate amount by return of post. Can your cleaner come to me more than once per week?Yes, the cleaner will come to you as many days a week as you require but it must be for a minimum of two hours each time. It is not fair to expect them to travel to and from your home for just one hours work. Will your cleaner come on a Saturday? No, most cleaners only work Monday to Friday and our office is closed at the weekend therefore if a problem arose at this time nobody would be available to deal with it.Can I have a more mature cleaner? We will be pleased to find you a cleaner of your choice but please bear in mind that specific requests can take more time to fill. How do you check your cleaners are honest and reliable? Our adverts for cleaners generally allow us to pick and choose the best candidates. When they first phone us they are asked specific questions to ascertain their suitability and many are rejected at this point. We make appointments to see candidates and interview them in their own home. Many candidates cancel their appointments before we get to see them and some do not even remember to be in when we arrive. By this stage more than half of the original applicants have been eliminated. Those that we do get to interview must provide work references, proof of identity and proof of address. References are always verified for authenticity. The process of interviewing candidates in their own home gives us an opportunity to see how they manage their own cleaning. A lot of work goes into checking out the cleaner before they are even offered any cleaning work. Will your cleaner do ironing? Most of our cleaners are happy to do ironing but some of them refuse. If you want ironing to be done please advise when ordering a cleaner. Will your cleaner do carpet and upholstery cleaning? If you require carpet and upholstery cleaning to be done please call the agency. We will send our own operative to do this work who has all the correct equipment, products and experience. Will your cleaner bring their own equipment and materials? No, we ask that all equipment (vacuum cleaner, broom, dust pan and brush etc) and cleaning materials are provided by you and made available to the cleaner.Any other questions? Please give us a call on 01303 891757
